Ocean Bay came in the Top Ten in The Daily Telegraph's Weekend supplement list of best Summer Restaurants (July 19).

Here's what their critic Jasper Gerard said:

"Dining by the seaside can leave you feeling like an old sock spinning in a washing machine on an unremitting cycle. You leave Ocean Bay, by contrast, feeling like a freshly ironed shirt from Gieves & Hawkes.

It is breezy. bright and contemporary - no one seemed to mind that our children ran amok so badly they should have been taken in by social services. Wonderful views of beach, cliffs and countryside beyond. Classier feel at night but still excellent value (three courses: £25)."

The Poole Audi Eat Out Guide 2009 has placed Ocean Bay in its top 5 for countryside restaurants near Poole, along with some very prestigious establishments including "Rhodes South", the celebrated chef's new venture.
